This relates to our field trip to the Pete Dye golf course because the species could be found throughout our community. In our food webs, the arrows illustrate the transfer of energy.
The bottom of our web starts with a producer. Producers are then consumed by multiple consumers. This relationship is illustrated by the arrows. The first consumer gets energy directly from the producer. Consumers at higher levels get their energy indirectly from the producer. This relationship is not linear. It expands outwardly by what consumers other species.
